Microdots are tiny microscopic discs made of polymer or metal containing a unique alpha numeric code that’s linked to the property owner, providing a semi-covert method of marking and identifying assets. For cars, 7,000–10,000 Microdots with each vehicle’s VIN (or PIN) are sprayed or brushed on 20+ locations with a clear UV adhesive. Each Microdot is usually 0.3–1mm in diameter.
Microdots are easily applied to assets via supplied options. Every option contains Microdots and UV trace active adhesive. Proven to deter professional theft with warning decals on windows and general knowledge that particular car brands have microdots as standard fitment. Also counters fraudulent insurance and warranty claims on components.
Investigation kits include simple magnifiers for in-field identification and black-light torches to locate the dots.
